Brinkmann is known for super low priced cookers, made for frugal people. Quality and price are close to value brands like Masterbuilt, Char-Griller and Master Forge, but Brinkmann is a small step above and sometimes offers interesting and useful value added features. Brinkmann is one of the largest BBQ manufacturers in the United States, angling for the market of price driven rival, Char-Broil, but lacking that company's focus and innovation. They have a thousand and one models and some have merit considering the price, but many of their products are more of the same cost driven stuff with a different logo on the lid.
Brinkmann is widely distributed online and at brick and mortar outlets, including big box stores.
The Brinkmann Roadmaster is their Dual Function Charcoal/Gas Smoker and Grill on wheels. We don't care for these combo grills because we feel you can usually get better equipment by purchasing a separate charcoal and gas grill, and if one of them drops dead, it's not joined at the hip to the other. That said, if you want a grill on a trailer, you'll be hard pressed to find a package like this for $1000. They even throw in an offset firebox and 25,000 BTU Fryer. However, with just over 1000 square inches of primary cooking surface, this system is undersized for commercial use.
The trailer rolls on two 12" wheels so don't stray too far from home and watch out for pot holes. It has a retractable hitch stand to hold it level when unhitched and a built-in storage box. You get a three burner gas grill and a matching charcoal grill with offset fire box. Each grill has 403 square inches of primary cooking surface and the firebox has 275 square inches of cook surface. The fryer is mounted at the front by the propane tank.
At one time Brinkmann had three trailer mounted models, the Roadmaster is the last of the lot. Home Depot used to sell Roadmasters, but they have been discontinued even as an online purchase. So if you want one, call Brinkmann. This is what will show up at your door and you'll have hours of fun putting it together: the assembly instructions are 23 pages long.

And remember, we only recommend products we love.
GrillGrates(TM) amplify heat, prevent flareups, make flipping foods easier, keep small foods from committing suicide, kill hotspots, are easier to clean, flip over to make a fine griddle, and can be easily removed and moved from one grill to another. You can even throw wood chips, pellets, or sawdust between the rails and deliver a quick burst of smoke to whatever is above. Every gas grill needs them.
The PK Grill has become our favorite charcoal grill. It proves some ideas never die.
Designed in 1952, the rectangular shape is easy to set up in 2 or 3 heat zones, it can easily be used as a smoker, the cast aluminum body is indestructible, airflow is easy to manage, and there is plenty of room under the hood.
Made of rugged 1/8" thick aluminum, 20" long, with four serious rivets, mine show zero signs of weakness after years of abuse. I use it on meats, hot charcoal, burning logs, and with the mechanical advantage that the scissor design creates, I can easily pick up a whole packer brisket. Click here to read more. - Meathead
Mo's Smoking Pouch is essential for gas grills. It is an envelope of mesh 304 stainless steel that holds wood chips or pellets. The airspaces in the mesh are small enough that they limit the amount of oxygen that gets in so the wood smolders. Put it on top of the cooking grate, on the burners, on the coals. It holds enough wood for about 15 minutes for short cooks, so you need to refill it or buy a second pouch for long cooks like pork shoulder and brisket. Mine has survived more than 50 cooks. I like it better than the smoker tubes. Click for more info. - Meathead
