Napoleon Legend LA300
Napoleon Legend LA300
Napoleon's Legend LA300 is one of their mid-size, mid-range gas grills. Stainless steel cook box, cart, doors and side shelves with a heavy guage steel lid. Napoleon's characteristic Wave Cooking Grids on LA300 are porcelain coated cast iron.
LP and NG models may be purchased. Burner output is 13,500 BTU each and a 13,500 BTU ceramic IR backburner is included, although the rotisserie kit is optional. Jetfire ignition at each control knob makes start-up a snap.
The two side shelves include wrap around condiment trays and tool hooks. A slide out drip pan funnels into a disposable aluminum foil catch tray that is accessible from the front of the cart.
Options include a heavy cast iron insert, (above), that drops into the firebox and allows you to burn charcoal, making this a dual fuel threat. We especially like the idea that to light the charcoal, all you have to do is remove one of the deflector plates and fire up the gas burner under it. We highly recommend this feature.
The warranty is good, but just a little stingy, covering much of the body and SS burners for as long as you own the grill, but then charging you 50% on all of the above after five years.
Not available at big box stores in the USA, you can get Napoleon on line and at a limited number of independent dealers.
