Yet another generic vertical gas smoker for your consideration. The good news is the price. A hundred and twenty bucks doesn't leave much room for complaints, and because the basic design is generic, it should do a decent job. The bad news is it's small at 15.5"W x 16.7"D x 33.3"H and only comes with two chrome plated cooking racks for total capacity of 357 square inches. Be that as it... Read More

Black Olive's patented design is billed as "The World's First Pellet Kamado Grill". The novel concept grabbed the attention of many who didn't pause to ask why one would actually want such a thing. While we love the fact that thermostatically controlled pellet smokers can be set to temperature just like a kitchen oven, even kamado owners of moderate skill find it relatively easy to hold... On October 8, 2015, Brinkmann filed for Chapter 11 under the US bankruptcy code.  The Brinkmann All-In-One Gas & Charcoal Smoker, Grill & Fryer is a cheapo versatile bullet that is best when cooking with gas, but can be adapted to cook with charcoal. Read more about setups for Charcoal Bullet Smokers. It can also be used as a smoker, brazier, or deep fryer. This was Meathead's... Read More

On October 8, 2015, Brinkmann filed for Chapter 11 under the US bankruptcy code.  Brinkmann Charcoal Bullet Smokers are also known as El Cheapo Brinkmanns or ECBs for short. They come in a few different styles: Gourmet, Smoke 'N Grill, Sportsman and Cook'N Ca'Jun II. The El Cheapo price makes them very popular, but we can't recommend any BBQ ECBs primarily because there are no vents in... Read More

On October 8, 2015, Brinkmann filed for Chapter 11 under the US bankruptcy code.  The Brinkmann Gourmet Electric Smoker is a cheapo painted steel bullet that comes in red or black. It has a 1500 watt heating element and lava rocks but, unlike the Meco or Char-Broil, there is no variable control or thermostat. It has a decent thermometer and a front hinged door to make adding water or... Read More

PlaceholderBlack horizontal barrel pellet smoker mounted on four legs with two large wheels and a lower shelf. A box is attached on the left side and a chimney is placed on the right side.
On October 8, 2015, Brinkmann filed for Chapter 11 under the US bankruptcy code.  The Brinkmann Pellet Fuel Grill introduced in 2012 is an entry level smoker available at Home Depot and Bass Pro for backyarders ready to jump on the pellet bandwagon. It is very close to Traeger's popular Lil' Tex. In fact Brinkmann designed their smoker with similar dimensions and wiring connections to... Read More

PlaceholderKamado Grills aka Kamado.com - OUT OF BUSINESS
This troubled company has been sold and the new owner claims he started over and completely redesigned the entire product line which is manufactured in the USA under a different name. We were never able to find pictures or prices or much of anything about Kamado Grills except for complaints. BUT LOOKOUT! It appears the original owner has resurfaced with a sketchy website: http://... Read More

This model has been discontinued. The problem with Louisiana is they are in a prolonged state of change. They continue to explore different manufacturing sources and design features to improve their smokers, but progress is slowed partially by the need to sell off existing inventories before introducing updated models on a global scale. In 2014 they made significant upgrades to their... Read More

The Master Forge Charcoal Smoker/Griller, like the notorious El Cheapo Brinkmann line, is a low cost bullet smoker aka water smoker. Like Brinkmann bullets, this Master Forge smoker is tough to use. Charcoal is burnt in a pan with holes running along the side.  No charcoal grate is included to raise the coal off the bottom of the pan, and no dampers are included either. The poor design... 3) Tell us everything we need to know to help such as the type of cooker and thermometer. Dial thermometers are often off by as much as 50°F so if you are not using a good digital thermometer we probably can't help you with time and temp questions. Please read this article about thermometers.
