American Barbecue Systems All-Star Grill and Smoker is effectively two cookers in one. It has an offset firebox that runs along the back of the cookbox and three stainless steel grates that may be placed at low, middle and high positions for smoking. Or you can build a charcoal fire at the bottom of the cookbox and use one stainless grate above the heat for grilling. Smoking with three... Read More

American Barbecue Systems Bar-Be-Cube ia a charcoal cabinet or vertical smoker with a couple neat design twists. Four of the five stainless steel cooking shelves inside the BBQ smoke box may be accessed by the front door, while the fifth sits on top under a hinged hood like a regular charcoal grill. The firebox at the bottom is in a slide out drawer and may be removed and repositioned... Read More

American Barbecue System's Pit–Boss is a large capacity smoker suitable for residential and commercial BBQ use. It has an electric rotisserie that rotates meats on eight stainless steel shelves. As the rotisserie racks move in a carousel path, juices drip to the racks below to self-baste and the constant motion ensures even cooking. The firebox is positioned at the back below the smoke... Arizona BBQ Outfitter's Scottsdale Cooker is a clever design that melds an adjustable height charcoal grill with a Santa Maria, vertical lift grill. Most vertical lift grills have no hood, which limits their capability to some degree. Scottsdale employs a removable hood and back windbreak to provide the best of both in one. Hood off for grilling Santa Maria style moving the vertical... Read More

We heard a lot of bad news about Bayou Classic ceramics in the past. These cookers are outsourced to Chinese fabricators. Bayou Classic's parent company, Barbour International, claims they had quality problems with previous vendors, but have found new sources capable of producing much better product. Indeed, it appears satisfied owners are in the majority now. But, buyer beware, it also... Read More

Big Poppa's Drum Smoker Kit is gaining popularity. The kit includes everything you need to make an Ugly Drum Smoker, aka UDS, except the barrel and elbow grease. For those who don't want the hassel of tracking down a food grade BBQ cooking barrel and drilling it out, Big Poppa teamed up with Bubba Barrels to offer the kit and a high quality stainless steel drum, pre-drilled and ready... PlaceholderBlowin' Smoke Cookers Gameday
We asked Blowin' Smoke to show us their most popular residential offset smoker and they responded with Gameday. Most of Blowin' Smoke's models are massive rigs sized for competition and catering. While Gameday is one of their smaller offerings, it is rather large for most backyard cooks. But if you have a big backyard, big aspirations, or lots of friends and relatives, it could be for... Cajun Grill makes six variations of this heavy duty cooker. The Cajun Grill is their smallest with 468 square inches of cooking surface. It can grill, and, because it is long and narrow, it can be easily set up for indirect cooking and BBQ smoke roasting. It has a V shaped trough in which the charcoal grate sits. The charcoal can be raised and lowered, but because of the V shape, the... Read More

This is a great concept, a capacious gas and charcoal grill in one unit, and you can add an optional offset charcoal firebox to make it a smoker, too. Unfortunately the quality is reflected in their price. Cheap. The gas side on the left produces 40,800 BTU with 3 burners. A side burner puts out 12,000 BTU. There is no natural gas optional hookup. We recently tested the stand alone... Read More

1) Please try the table of contents or the search box at the top of every page before you ask for help.

2) Try to post your question to the appropriate page.

3) Tell us everything we need to know to help such as the type of cooker and thermometer. Dial thermometers are often off by as much as 50°F so if you are not using a good digital thermometer we probably can't help you with time and temp questions. Please read this article about thermometers.
