2019-04-07 Chicago's Newest Food Hall Lines Up Restaurants

In the past five years, food halls and public markets have popped up like mushrooms in U.S. cities and around the world. Time Out Market Chicago hopes to keep the momentum going. It has just revealed the first round of restaurants to be featured in the windy city's newest food hall. The market will be a three level building including eighteen restaurants, three bars, and a demo kitchen. Notable Chicago chefs Brian Fisher, Bill Kim and Thai Dang will have restaurants in the food hall as well as outposts from Mini Mott, The Art of Pizza, and Pretty Cool Ice Cream. Time Out Market Chicago is set to open in the second half of 2019. Time Out also expects to open other food halls this year in Boston, New York, Miami and Montreal. These new food halls capitalize on the success of Time Out Market Lisbon, which opened in 2014. Time Out has even bigger things in the works with the announcement of plans to open food halls in London and Prague in 2021. Time Out has morphed from its humble beginnings in 1968 as a list of cultural events in London to a cultural magazine publisher in several cities and more recently, to a global media and entertainment company in charge of magazines, websites, live events, and markets. What else can you expect from Chicago's newest food hall? Get the full story here.
