How To Get Reprint Rights To The Copyrighted Material On This Website
Unless otherwise noted, everything on this website, including all text, photos, and recipes, are copyrighted (c) by Craig "Meathead" Goldwyn of AmazingRibs, Inc. and are fully protected by US copyright law. This means you need my written permission to publish or distribute anything on this website.
You do not need permission to link to this site.
I often get requests to publish my copyrighted work in print or on other websites and I will try to accommodate you. Please understand that, as a freelance writer and photographer, I must make my living from my words and photos. I work long and hard to create them and along the way I spend a lot on food, drink, travel, camera gear, computer gear, and an editor, so I usually like to be paid for the use of use of my copyrights. From major publications and websites, I usually request cash, amount negotiable.
I also like to have people come to visit my website, where they might sign up for my free email newsletter Smoke Signals, and hopefully, when my book comes out they will buy a copy. So proper credit, with the url of this website, and a link are important. If you have a links page, mention there would be nice, too. Links have value to me, so the more you can do to drive traffic to me, the less you have to pay.
A technique that might work if you have a small budget is for you to use an abridged version of an article and tell people "for the complete article, which we highly recommend, go to AmazingRibs.com" and then insert a link.
If you want reprint rights, I need to know the following, with some precision:
1) What copyrighted material do you wish to use? The url would be helpful.
2) Where will it appear on your site?
3) How do you propose to make it worth my while?
Then, when my material is published, you need to tell me so I can check it out and approve it.
In order for me to grant you permission to use my copyrighted work on your site, your site and your advertisers must not include or promote pornography, hate, bigotry, libel, violence, discrimination, or illegal activity.

GrillGrates amplify heat, eliminate hot spots, and block flareups. This is the concept behind the expensive new infrared grills. A must add-on for all gas grills.

Please please please read this before posting a comment or question:
1) Please use the table of contents or the search box at the top of every page before you ask for help.
2) Please click the "Follow Conversation" button or the "Email" button below your comment so you will be alerted when we reply.
3) Please don't ask any questions that involve temperature unless you tell us that you are using a digital thermometer! Dial thermometers are often off by as much as 50°F! If you are not using a good digital you have no idea what the temp really is so we can't help you. Please read this article about thermometers, then buy one of our recommendations, and then, if the problem persists (chances are it won't), hit us with your questions.
4) Please tell us everything we need to know to answer your question like the type of cooker you are using.
5) If you are shopping for a grill or smoker and need help, tell us your budget!
