Stok Grills are a new line of inexpensive gas cookers made in China. Their cooking grates have round cutouts that may be removed to accommodate various inserts such as pizza stones, griddles and woks. Stok got off to a rocky start in the BBQ market. In 2011 Home Depot greeted Stok Grills nationally with some fanfare that included big bright point of purchase displays that touted the unique cooking insert system and showcased Stok’s bright orange colors that match Home Depot’s logo. A year later Home Depot abruptly liquidated all store stock, unloading units for less than half the MSRP. In 2012 Stok recalled over 87,000 models sold in the USA and Canada for a faulty gas regulator.
It appears the dust has settled and STOK is still standing. After all the challenges they faced, they must be doing something right, so give them a look.
Stok is owned by One World Technologies in South Carolina.
