The Broil King Sovereign 90 is a mid-size model in their Sovereign Line. The grill head is cast aluminum with a stainless steel wrap. The Sovereign 90 comes with three 14,600 BTU main burners, an 18,000 BTU stainless rear rotisserie tube burner, a 10,000 BTU side burner and electronic ignition. It includes a rotisserie kit.
Features of the Broil King Sovereign 90
Cooking grates are 9.5mm stainless steel rods. Flav-R-Zone heat tents blanket the bottom of the deep firebox, mitigating flare ups, sizzling drippings and radiating searing heat. The cook box is deep, the hood is high. Many believe this design enhances roasting. Certainly the headroom in the hood is great for rotisserie and large items like roasts and turkeys.
Substantial side shelves feature built-in condiment trays and built-in BBQ tool hooks. The cart has two doors. Sovereigns are available in LP or NG models.
Dual Tube Burners
Broil King claims their patented Dual Tube Burners produce more even heat and increase burner life. Gas enters the burner first through a small, perforated tube within the large steel burner tube. Broil King intends the design to create even gas pressure throughout the burner, resulting in even flame and evenly distributed heat stress on the burner. However, we have not tested these burners yet.
