Char-Broil’s Classic 480 Four Burner Gas Grill is large for a low price. Four 10,000 BTU main burners and one 10,000 BTU side burner don’t pack a lot of power, although the porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates will get hot enough to create grill marks. Low grade stainless steel lid and control panel suggest that shiny appearance many find appealing, but the open air cart is just a black painted steel frame with a storage shelf at the bottom for an LP tank.
It’s not our first choice by any means, but if you’re really have a tight budget, you can pick this up for way below the MSRP. Many people have and seem reasonably happy to accept this BBQ grill for what it is – made cheap to sell cheap and hopefully last at least a few years.
