ThermoWorks RT304 Water Resistant Thermometer Review

The ThermoWorks RT304 Water Resistant Thermometer has good accuracy, fairly good response times and is immune to incidental moisture. It cannot be left in the oven/grill while cooking.

The unit has an on/off switch but it will NOT turn itself off automatically. There is a min/max button and another to change between F and C scales. It is sealed against moisture. The buttons and display are small and might pose a challenge for some users. Response times are better than many of its competitors, but not in the super-fast range.

The manufacturer’s contact info, including telephone number and website, is found on the instruction sheet. There is no explicit warranty stated, however, this company stands behind its products.

We give this thermometer a Bronze medal for accuracy, construction and performance. The lack of an auto-off feature or a hold feature, combined with the small buttons and display, prevent a higher rating.
