This unusual thermometer is designed to be placed on a grill to determine cooking temperature. It is reasonably accurate but has no Celsius scale. There are markings for temperature ranges for grilling and for searing. We were not able to verify the higher ranges of its scale due to limitations of our test facilities.
The manufacturer’s contact info, including address, telephone number, website and e-mail, is found on the packaging. It has a 12 year warranty. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
It’s inexpensive and it’s accurate. How useful it will be is more difficult to determine. We’ll give it a Bronze medal for originality and potential.
