Son of Hibachi is two small Hibachi Grills connected with hinges that can be folded together then zipped up in a heat resistant carrying case for exceptional portability. Moreover, the unique design makes starting charcoal a snap. You just fill each side with charcoal and fold the trays up. Start the fire at the bottom in a slide out panย that doubles as an ash catcher. Flames shoot up and create a chimney effect. Within ten minutes the coals are red hot. When you’re done cooking, fold it back up and let all the gunk burn off. Ready to leave, but the SOH is still hot? No problem. Just pop it back in the flame-retardant lined carrying case and you’re on your way.
Hibachi Grills are great for searing steaks, burgers, shrimp and any thin foods that cook fast. SOH has some interesting tricks in their manual for roasting larger BBQ cuts. They also offer an optional rotisserie. It’s pricier than many Hibachi Grills, but the double grill, outstanding portability and ease of starting and stopping the fire are unique,ย value-added features. Fascinating design.
