Add A Kiss Of Smoke To Your Gas Grill With A Pellet Smoking Tube

Cooking on a gas grill is super convenient but the lack of flavorful smoke is a definite trade-off. The solution, however, is a reasonable price and super simple to use — a pellet smoking tube. And while there are a variety of shapes and sizes, I prefer this hexagon-shaped model that can lay flat on your grill grates versus a cylindrical one that can roll around. The smoke tube is 304-grade stainless steel, making it both heat-resistant and rust-free. You also have the option of a six or 12-inch length depending on how long you want the pellets to burn.

To operate, simply fill the tube with food-grade wood pellets then ignite a few pellets with a stick lighter or small torch until they begin to smoke. The smoldering pellets will provide an extra layer of flavor without overpowering the food the way too much burning wood can often do.

I give the pellet smoking tube our Gold Medal for its mix of price, durability, and ease of use.
