This is an inexpensive thermometer that has good accuracy and modest performance. It cannot be left in the oven while cooking.
It features the basic controls: on/off and F/C. The response time is on the slow side for a quick-read thermometer at 17 seconds. There is a control to allow you to calibrate the unit in an ice bath should it drift over time.
The manufacturer’s contact info is printed on the packaging and the operating pamphlet. It comes with a one year limited warranty.
This unit gets a bronze medal for its relatively slow response time. It’s not a bad value given that it is at the low end of the price scale, but there are better performers from Taylor at only a slightly higher cost.
