Fontana Forni Small-Est Outdoor Oven Review

Black upright cabinet with arched metal top. A chimney comes out of the top. There are three doors in front. The top door has a window.
Small-Est Outdoor Oven

As the name indicates, The Small-Est is indeed Fontana Forni's smallest model, with exterior dimensions of 29" x 29" x 65".  This is one of Fontana's dual chambered models: the fire is built in the lower chamber and your food is baked and cooked in the upper chamber. Cooking capacity is increased with two slide out stainless steel shelves. Unlike domed pizza ovens with an open front, Small-Est has a door with a window over the cook chamber, which is equipped with an interior light. A second door with sliding damper covers the firebox. An upper damper is located in the chimney.

Construction is heavily insulated powder coated steel and top quality 304 grade stainless steel. The oven sits on top of a matching cart with enclosed storage and wheels in the back. Two pull out handles at the front of the cart help tilt Small-Est back onto the wheels for easy movement. Comes with cooking pans and a fire tool.

Fontana Forni

Fontana Forni metal ovens are made in Italy. Metal pizza ovens heat up faster than heavy brick and cast refractory ovens, but they cool off faster as well. They are also much lighter and may be moved around a patio or balcony with ease.

Fontana Forni offers some unique features, such as integrated convection fans and interior lights, not commonly found on most backyard pizza ovens. They sell related accessories as well.

1) Please try the table of contents or the search box at the top of every page before you ask for help.

2) Try to post your question to the appropriate page.

3) Tell us everything we need to know to help such as the type of cooker and thermometer. Dial thermometers are often off by as much as 50°F so if you are not using a good digital thermometer we probably can't help you with time and temp questions. Please read this article about thermometers.
