One of Ole Hickory’s smaller BBQ smokers, Ace BP made exclusively for Big Poppa Smokers. Unlike Ole Hickory’s large smokers with rotating carousel shelves, the Ace BP has three slide out, 26.5″ x 26.5″ nickel-chrome cooking racks. It is 100% welded with a 22 gauge stainless steel exterior and 12 gauge steel interior.
Here’s an Ole Hickory Smoker video from our pal, Malcom Reed, with HowToBBQRight.com. Be sure to subscribe to The How To BBQ Right YouTube channel here.
The side mounted firebox burns three Weber chimneys of coal regulated by a thermostatically controlled convection fan. Thermostat temp range is 100ยฐ to 275ยฐ and we are warned not to exceed 275ยฐ.
It has a one inch grease drain with ball valve and four heavy duty casters. Electricity is 110 volt 60HZ single phase.
Our posted price is MSRP, but Big Poppa is discounting this model heavily.

Manufacturer:
Ole Hickory Pits are pioneers in the world of high quality commercial BBQ equipment. This manufacturer started as a restaurant in Missouri. “To make a long story short, the third time the fire trucks came to put out the fire at the restaurant, it dawned on us that there should be a better way,” said David B. Knight, founder and President of Ole Hickory. Their solution was to develop a line of large cookers for restaurants that is highly regarded. Some are also available mounted on trailers.
Most Ole Hickorys are gas fired, wood burning cookers. They make a couple smaller models, but specialize in high capacity systems for commercial use. They have some dealers who provide value added service, but much of their sales are direct to pros who just want the bottom line price. Ole Hickory shuns high tech add-ons like recipe presets and humidity control and prefers to keep it simple, although they do have thermostatic control that regulates their gas burners to provide consistent internal temps.
