This fork has user-settable temperatures for meat doneness, and a backlight. Its response times are slow compared with other forks of this type.
When the unit is turned on, the current temperature will be displayed and the backlight will turn on. Select the doneness desired using the Taste button. While a given doneness is active, its temperature can be changed using the set button. However, cycling through the taste options resets all values to the preprogrammed settings.
The manufacturer’s contact info, including the address and website, but no telephone number, is printed in the instruction sheet. The unit is covered by a 90-day limited warranty.
This model is way too slow to be an effective quick-read thermometer. If you really want a gadget like this, look at some of Maverick’s other offerings. We don’t recommend this unit.
