Kenmore 2818-2T 4-Burner Gas Grill Review

Kenmore 4-Burner Gas Grill

Kenmore’s 2818-2T 4-Burner Gas Grill with Folding Side Tables has four 430 grade stainless steel tube burners. It comes with stainless steel rod cooking grates, porcelain coated heat tents and two side shelves. The shelves fold down, an unusual feature for a mid-size grill. Fold down shelves are commonly found on smaller, compact cookers to help reduce the footprint when not in use. These grills are poorly made with cheap materials. They only carry a one year limited warranty, but you can bet Sears would love to interest you in an extended warranty.

Combination black and shiny steel gas grill placed in front of a brick wall. The lid is up showing food cooking. A small table on the left side also has food on it.

The double door cart is painted steel, shelves and hood are stainless and the doors and control panel are black enameled metal. It is also offered with a large fold-out table instead of the left side shelf. See above. It is also available with optional features such as sear and side burners.

Kenmore is owned by retail giant Sears and headquartered at the Sears complex in Hoffman Estates, IL. Although Kenmore is a respected name for kitchen and home appliances, not so much in the BBQ world. Like Nexgrill and their various brands such as Jenn-Air, Kenmore benefits from the substantial foot traffic provided by a national presence on Sears’ showroom floors. The good news is Sears runs specials throughout the year on these cookers and they really should be offered at discounted rates because the MSRPs are overpriced. One can easily find better grills in the range of Kenmore sticker prices.

Color options as well as stainless steel models are available.
