Our review of the TEC Sterling. TEC has led the way for infrared outdoor cooking in the USA. They license technology to many manufacturers including Char-Broil. As TEC's patents on earlier ceramic IR burners expire, other companies have rushed to produce low cost versions to offer as sear burners on their inexpensive gas grills.

We reviewed this searing machine constructed from high quality 304 grade stainless steel. With two powerful ceramic Infrared burners, Solaire provides all the heat you can take. In fact it has trouble cooking at low temps which is the reason Solaire offers combos of one IR burner and one conventional burner.

Made cheap to sell cheap, a lot of Nexgrill owners have a lot of complaints. Unfortunately poor customer service is one of their biggest complaints. We don't recommend this model.

The hood light and IR burners may seem sexy, but our review shows they are poorly made with cheap materials. Lights and out of date ceramic burners are often thrown in on many cheap gas grills as a value added feature and they are useful as long as they continue to function.

We reviewed these grills which are poorly made with cheap materials. They only carry a one year limited warranty, but you can bet Sears would love to interest you in an extended warranty.

These grills are attractive and the IR burner may seem sexy, but upon our review we note they are poorly made with cheap materials. This type of ceramic burner is way out of date and has, in recent years, begun popping up on many cheap gas grills as a value added feature. And it is useful as long as it continues to function.
