Sneak Peek: Weber Griddle Review

Share on:
WEBER Griddle

Weber aims to capitalize on the rising popularity of backyard griddling with their new, stand-alone griddles, griddle inserts, and suite of griddle accessories. At the time of this writing, these new griddle products were not yet available. Weber expects to roll them out sometime this spring. We were treated to a sneak peek at Weber’s test kitchen.

The three, 12,000 BTU burners on the stand-alone models are engineered to distribute heat evenly across the carbon steel cooking surface from side to side and front to back. A four burner model is in the works. The open-air cart has left and right side tables with built-in tool hooks. Scrape grease and gunk down an opening in the left front corner.

Owners of Weber Spirit and Genesis Gas Grills will be pleased to hear the new griddle roll out includes full-size griddle inserts to fit models made from 2016 through 2022. The 3-burner Spirit insert will have a 529 square inch capacity and list for $188. The 3-Burner Genesis will have a 787 square inch capacity for $249, and the 4-burner will have 994 square inches for $299.
