On paper this discontinued system looked good. But true to Char-Broil form, for everyone who loved the Grill2Go Ice, there was another who suffered extreme buyer's remorse. Our review found that some loved the collapsible design and ease of transport, others complained the telescoping legs and handle were rickety and the entire unit was too heavy to lift.

This 2-burner works well in small spaces like a condo patio. When not in use, one can fold down the side shelves and roll it out of the way. We reviewed this little gasser our awarded our AmazingRibs.com Silver Medal Award. But if space is not an issue and you can afford the extra money, we recommend upgrading to the 3-burner.

This discontinued 4-burner was the largest model in Char-Broil's Gourmet line. We reviewed it previously. Gourmet's had an unusual design. Below the porcelain coated cast iron grates sat a dark non-stick trough that radiated heat to the cooking surface. This made the entire grill an indirect cooker. We gave Gourmet our AmazingRibs.com Bronze Medal.

Lowe's calls this exclusive model the Char-Broil Commercial 4-Burner Gas Grill. It was previously called TRU-Infrared. This AmazingRibs.com Gold Medal winner has an inner double layer to help keep in heat. It is capable of high enough heat for searing, and low enough for smoking.
