"Independence is happiness."Susan B. Anthony
Summer is in full swing, and it's time to relax and enjoy yourself. Gather your friends and family to celebrate Independence Day. Even during these uncertain times, the Centers for Disease Control says you can safely host a cookout with guests 6 feet apart. Just remind everyone to wash their hands often, and consider dishing out the food yourself so multiple people aren't touching the same serving utensils. Single-use condiments can also minimize the number of people handing items. Either way, now is the time to celebrate with an all-American menu featuring the best BBQ ribs you ever tasted, old-fashioned potato salad, Boston baked beans, classic cole slaw and, for dessert, a new take on an old standby: Grilled Strawberry Shortcake with Smoked Whipped Cream. Don't forget the ice cold beverages. Fireworks optional but strongly recommended.
